The two-day maritime conference will take place at Copenhagen’s AC Bella Sky Convention Center on 23-24 February 2027.

Copenhagen will once again host the World Maritime Forum in 2027, with the industry gathering for two days at the AC Bella Sky Convention Center. Organised by IGGS Group, the event will connect shipowners, ship managers, shipbuilders, ports, authorities, maritime suppliers and service providers. The forum takes place as maritime companies assess crucial questions surrounding fleet investment, operational continuity, workforce readiness and the integration of digital solutions into everyday activities.

The event is projected to welcome 800 attendees, 70 speakers and 50 exhibitors, including more than 300 buyers. Delegates are expected from fleet, project, procurement and technical management, as well as sustainability, crewing, port operations, finance and IT. The variety of roles represented reflects the cross-functional nature of modern vessel decisions, which increasingly affect several departments, budgets and shore-based systems.

The 2027 programme will present new speakers from established shipping companies, ports and respected maritime organisations. Drawing on their experience within the industry, they will offer practical perspectives on fleet investment, port strategy, cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, vessel efficiency and the capabilities required of the maritime workforce.

Twelve new panel discussions and two on-stage conversations will explore the main strategic and operational questions confronting maritime businesses, while considering how investment priorities may develop in the years ahead. The sessions will cover IMO measures, EU ETS and FuelEU Maritime, alternative fuels and bunkering infrastructure, retrofit performance, transition finance, sanctions and shadow-fleet risks, cyber and GNSS security, crew skills, AI, vessel design, and remote and autonomous operations. The programme will examine how regulatory obligations and operational exposure influence investments in fleets, ports, infrastructure, people and technology.

The conference will be accompanied by an exhibition area where suppliers can showcase their products, services, expertise and emerging innovations. Solutions represented will include propulsion, fleet-performance systems, maintenance, safety, connectivity, cybersecurity, ship repair, vessel design, interior solutions and shipbuilding. The exhibition will enable buyers to evaluate proposed benefits in the context of the costs, integration demands and operational constraints addressed during the conference sessions.

Copenhagen is well suited to host an event bringing together such a broad range of maritime interests, while the venue keeps conference sessions, the exhibition and business meetings within one complex. Rather than focusing on scale alone, the forum will provide a shared environment for considering policy, vessel operations, investment decisions and supplier evidence. These conversations could help maritime businesses determine which fleet, technology and organisational solutions are suitable for wider implementation before the end of the decade.
